Recently, the Indian government's decision-making think tank (NITI) stated in a report that it is expected that India's coal-fired power generation capacity will reach a peak of about 250000 megawatts by around 2030, while coal power demand is expected to gradually slow down and reach its peak around 2040. However, the report shows that coal will still be India's main source of energy, and India will continue to affect global energy demand in the next decade. It is expected that by 2030, India's coal demand will reach 1.192-13.25 billion tons, with electricity being the main consumer industry.
